Construction Expense Document Automation Pipeline
Designed and implemented an automated document processing workflow for construction project expenses using n8n, Paperless-ngx, and NocoDB. The solution streamlines receipt ingestion from WhatsApp, centralizes document storage, and synchronizes structured expense data for easier tracking and retrieval.
Business Challenge
Construction project expenses were submitted through WhatsApp groups. Staff manually downloaded receipt images, renamed files, uploaded them into a document management system, and entered expense records into a database. This resulted in repetitive manual work, inconsistent document organization, and poor searchability.
Solution Delivered
Designed and implemented an automated workflow using n8n to monitor WhatsApp messages, process receipt images, extract structured information using OCR, upload documents into Paperless-ngx, and synchronize metadata into NocoDB for expense tracking.
