Python automation that converts inconsistent financial PDF statements and raw system reports into structured Excel reconciliation and reporting outputs for finance staff.
The team had recurring manual reconciliation and annual reporting work spread across PDFs, spreadsheets, and legacy workflows. Statement formats were inconsistent, values could be merged or misread, and non-technical users needed reliable outputs without running Python.
Built a Python pipeline using PDF parsing, regex, pandas, openpyxl, validation checks, and a Windows desktop executable. The system extracts transactions, validates totals and balances, generates structured Excel workbooks, and gives finance users a repeatable workflow they can run without a terminal.
Reduced supported reconciliation and reporting batches from days or months of manual effort to minutes, with validated Excel outputs and fewer data-entry errors.
