A booking wizard, staff dashboard and instant WhatsApp alerts for an automotive service workshop in Cape Town, plus fault-based service pages that get the workshop found in Google and AI search. Live since 24 August 2026.
The workshop took bookings by phone and walk-in only. Customers searching online could not find them for the faults they actually had, and leads that came in after hours were lost.
I scoped the system with the owner, directed AI tools to build it, and tested every part before release. - Booking wizard: the customer picks the fault they notice, picks a day from live availability, and leaves their details. - Staff dashboard where the team sees and moves each booking along. - Instant WhatsApp alert to the owner's phone for every new booking. - Thirteen service pages written around the faults customers search for. - Hosted in Johannesburg so customer data stays in South Africa, on an encrypted volume with daily backups. Testing: three automated security gates run on every change (116 security checks, plus 17 tests each guarding customer records and settings), each proven to fail when its protection is removed. A pre-launch review found and fixed a real flaw: an anonymous booking could overwrite a returning customer's details; records are now linked, never edited. Security headers checked live after deployment. The production server refuses to start if any secret is left at a placeholder value.
Live and stable since 24 August 2026. Bookings now arrive through the site, and each one alerts the owner by WhatsApp within seconds, including after hours. Google Search Console, 28 days to 3 October 2026: 591 impressions, 25 clicks, 4.2% click rate, average position 5.1, across 87 different search queries.
591 Google search impressions and 25 clicks in 28 days (average position 5.1, 87 queries), from a workshop that had no online booking before.
