Python-based AI workflow system for multi-source intake, AI-assisted analysis, structured review, explicit workflow states, persistence, audit history, and human approval before important actions.
Manual opportunity intake and review becomes inconsistent and time-consuming when information arrives from multiple sources and must be evaluated against business rules before action is taken. The challenge was to create a system that could collect, structure, analyse and route incoming opportunities while preserving human control over important decisions and maintaining a clear audit trail.
Built CAVAS AI Assistant as a Python-based workflow system with a Telegram operator interface and persistent application state. The solution supports multi-source intake, AI-assisted analysis, deterministic and semantic filtering, explicit workflow states, structured human review, audit history, and controlled handoff. Important actions are protected by confirmation boundaries so the system does not proceed automatically when human approval is required. The workflow also includes rejected-item visibility, next-step guidance, reliability guards, evaluation logic, and failure-safe behaviour designed to keep the process understandable and controllable. The system was developed with local-first testing and iterative quality hardening before controlled business trials.
The system converted a previously manual and fragmented review process into a structured, state-driven workflow with repeatable intake, analysis, review and handoff stages. Controlled trials confirmed end-to-end workflow execution from source discovery through human review and handoff. Quality hardening added semantic fit classification, deterministic filtering, draft-readiness guards, rejected-item visibility, and fail-safe behaviour. The production test suite grew to more than 1,800 passing tests with approximately 83% coverage, providing measurable confidence in workflow reliability and regression protection.
End-to-end controlled trials successfully validated the workflow from source discovery through review and handoff. The automated test suite reached 1,800+ passing tests with approximately 83% code coverage. Quality hardening added deterministic filtering, semantic-fit classification, fail-safe fallback behaviour, human approval boundaries, and explicit auditability across workflow states.
