Voice AI Ordering System for Restaurant
Built a voice AI ordering system for a restaurant that lets customers place orders by speaking naturally. The system uses Vapi for voice handling, ElevenLabs for realistic voice synthesis, GPT-4.1 for conversation intelligence, and n8n to process and log orders into Airtable.
Business Challenge
The restaurant handled all orders manually via phone calls, requiring staff availability during peak hours. Missed calls meant lost orders and inconsistent customer experience.
Solution Delivered
Deployed a Vapi voice agent with an ElevenLabs custom voice that receives inbound calls, understands natural speech, walks customers through the menu, confirms orders, and logs them to Airtable via n8n. A Cloudflare Pages frontend displays the menu and provides a call entry point.
Outcomes Achieved
Enabled 24/7 automated order taking with no staff involvement. Eliminated missed calls during peak hours and standardized the ordering experience across all customer interactions.
